FAST FOOD is a social project directed, produced, and animated by Issy exploring online dating and the assumptions we make about others. The project emerged through a collaborative, socially experimental process that questioned the entire crew’s assumptions and unconscious biases. It works in two parts: a film, which examines surface-level assumptions, and a website, which offers a deeper, more accessible understanding. Developed as my graduate film, the project also reflects a destabilising approach to the filmmaking process itself. The project was made as Issy’s Graduate Project for her Film Degree at Falmouth University.
Directed, Produced and Animated by Issy Stephens, Assistant Researcher Lydia Jenkins, Main Narrative Sound Designer Lewis Lenk, Soundtrack Writer Michael Kabasele, with Sound Collaborators Lewis Lenk, Alex Milchev, Charlotte Mallory, Quinn Aubke, Sophia Owen Moulding and Tony McAspurn, With the Voices of Jacob Mellers as THE MAN and Lewis Lenk as THE SERVER.
