Cornwall Lived Experience Partnership (CLEP) is an innovative intersectional partnership of 17 VCSE lived experience organisations (LEOs) representing marginalised communities in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Formed in the fall of 2023, The Partnership’s mission is to ensure equal representation and consideration of all marginalised communities by centering intersectional lived experience.
Working as the Lived Experience Programme Lead at disAbility Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, Issy’s role in the CLEP was to enable the partnership’s work to evolve and shape around the diverse and intersecting needs of LEOs and the communities they represent. She did this by connecting partners with wider VCSE organisations as well as statutory and institutional bodies; applying for funding and research bids; helping to facilitate and manage meetings and partner relations.
Issy represented the CLEP in the Fairer Cornwall Commission Development Group, No Hate Cornwall, lectures at local universities and research groups, and in conversation with multiple Council and University departments to help centre lived experience in decision and change making in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
The CLEP is now under new leadership and can be contacted at the link below.
